Abstract EN

This research aimed at identifying the actual application the alternative evaluation by the faculty members of the two faculties, College of Education and College of Women at Seiyun University from their perspectives.

To achieve the research objective, a descriptive approach was adopted by the researcher and a random sample was selected represented by the study's population of (29) faculty members.

Also, a questionnaire comprising five domains was designed based on the reviewed literature.

These are (evaluation based on performance and observation, evaluation of work using files of achievement, students' self-evaluation, evaluation based on group members, as well as evaluation of performance using concept maps).

After ensuring the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, it was applied to the study's sample.

The study findings revealed that the actual application of alternative evaluation by the faculty members of the two faculties - College of Education and College of Women - based on the questionnaire as a whole was of a mean of (2.965), a standard deviation of (0.4737), in addition to verbal significance at times.

The results regarding the domain of evaluation of performance using concept maps indicate that the averages of all the domain's items ranged between (1.689-2.137) with the choices 'never' and 'rarely in terms of the actual use.
