Abstract EN

This study focused on clarifying the importance of the geopolitics of the Turkish Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits within the Black Sea region،especially in the Russian-Ukrainian war and the political and economic developments revealed by the course of the war and its repercussions on the Turkish straits،and the tangible role of these straits within these developments،which reflects their geopolitical status regionally and internationally .The Straits have occupied a strategic place in the strategies of regional and international powers،and have contributed to strengthening the orientation of strategic theories and international alliances towards these straits and competition between international powers in order to benefit from these strategic corridors in achieving their goals and strengthen their influence within the conflict arenas adjacent to the straits،not to mention the geo-economic importance of these straits resulting from their strategic location as the only maritime exit for the Black Sea countries towards the open seas.

Especially for the Russian Federation،whose dream of reaching and controlling these straits has been the focus on the conflict between Turkey and Russia for centuries.
