Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of the counseling program in reality according to Glasser theory in modifying the opportunistic personality among a sample of Al-Quds Open University students in Tulkarm governorate, for this purpose the quasi-experimental approach was used, and the study sample consisted of (40) students who obtained A high score on the scale of opportunistic personality, they were distributed equally randomly into two groups, the first experimental to which the counseling program was applied, and the second control, on which the program was not applied for comparison.

The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores on the opportunistic personality scale of Al-Quds Open University students between the experimental and control groups in the pre and post scales in favor of the experimental group.

The value of the effect size of the program was (0.433), and the results also showed significant differences between the pre and post measurements of the scores of the experimental group members in favor of the post measurement on the scale of opportunistic personality, while the results showed no statistically significant differences between the post and tracer measures of the scores of the experimental group members, which this indicates the effectiveness of the counseling program applied in modifying the opportunistic personality among the study individuals and the stability of results after implementation.
