The issue of human rights is one of the most important areas of concern to civil and political society in Mauritania.

This is what makes the topic of protection worthy of research.

This study, which adopts the methodology of legal sciences, attempts to research on the protection of human rights in Mauritania, and it has concluded that this protection is classified into normative protection, linked to the adoption of international standards through the constitution and national legislation, and institutional protection, based on activating the role of judicial and non-judicial institutions.
