Abstract EN

The research discuss a famous poem written by Jareer bin Attiyyah Al-Khatafi, "Baanal-Khaleet", to defame Al-Akhtal, but only very small number of the verses in the poem was based on the defamation of Al-Akhtal, because the majority is love poem which took over most of the parts in the poem.

so the questions this research is trying to answer, by examining the semantics of the text and researching for its narrativity through the semiotic method which is concerned with the study of thresholds and similarities in order to reach the intentionality or interpretation.

the research has reached several results, which are about the presence of women in the poem, the intensity of spatial presence in it, in addition to the reason for the purposeful conflict between love poem and defamatory poem through researching for the controversy of presence and absence in all of the above.
