Poetry reveals the many secrets or the spirit and essence of life.

The divan explored language beyond its lexical meanings in order to emphasize its aesthetic function, i.e.

enriching the poetic language with semantic layers resembling the earth's layers in terms of depth and variation.

This study focuses on Saleh's Divan, Fruits of Regret, with the intent of clarifying and exposing its linguistic elements, which have been subject to various interpretations and explanations.

The study aims to make apparent the many implied connotations and denotations in its depth, despite its perceived unity.

The researcher deals with the most important and distinct denotative and connotative elements, which are frequently repeated in the divan in an attempt to explore the many layers of the linguistic structure and their lexical and semantic dimensions.

This is primarily represented in five main axes: homeland, deportation, martyrdom, birds and intertextuality.
