Abstract EN

Food is a basic need of human , and he is constantly sought to satisfy this need .The agricultural production constitutes the main source of human nutrition ,the grain crop, Particularly wheat first prize in this field .In order to meet the growing demand for grain crops , particularly wheat , it should work to increase production and productivity of this crop .To achieve this goal , many of agricultural scientific practices and recommendations has raised .

This study aims to identify the current level of application of wheat growers in AL-Diwaniyah province to the agricultural scientific practices and recommendations that recommended in the cultivation of wheat, and its impact on agricultural production .

A random sample consisting (125)of them has been taken .

The study included practices associated with the following fields :soil ,tillage, seeds cultivation, land division , irrigation , fertilization , control, harvesting .The results of the study showed a high level of application by interviewees to above practices , except land division and harvesting .

There is a clear impact to the application of recommended practices to increase productivity , except the depth of seeding .
