Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to investigate and bring to light the components of poetic discourse among Sufi women during its initial formative stage.

Towards this end, the study revolves around the following focal points: First: A specification of the most significant factors of relevance to women’s conditions and their poetry.

Second: An examination, analysis and interpretation of the discourse of Rabi'ah al-'Adawiyah: “I love you with two loves...” as a poetic discourse which serves to establish the theme of divine love, with extracts from its major declarations.

Third: An identification and analysis of the states associated with the divine love in Sufi women’s poetry together with a clarification of their level of reception and their impact on the establishment of a special vocabulary of divine love.
