There is no doubt that the Electronic Clearing System (ECS) is one of the most important systems used by commercial banks for settlement of checks to assist its customers, under a direct supervision and control of the Central Bank of Jordan, taking advantage of technological development in this regard.

I've studied some of the legal aspects of this system (ECS) including the legal framework for electronic clearing and the legal requirements for providing checks to clearing center, using electronic records as an argument in the proof.

In the same time I have studied the most important legal effects on the settlement checks through the system, and the requirements for activating the electronic clearing system, and finally the responsibility of The bank and resolving conflicts that generates from the activation of this system.
