The customs of any human society is indicative of the level of its civilization and intellectual progress.

These human customs are followed in marriage ceremonies, both before and after the occasion.

This study examines and evaluates some of these customs from the perspective of jurisprudence, Law and tradition.

These customs include: the “jaha” (a prestigious delegation honoring the host), engagement ring, shooting fire guns, beauty saloons, car parades, wedding halls, the platform of the bride and the groom, serving sweets, “nugoot"’(money given, as a gift, to the newlyweds and honey moon).

The study has reached the following conclusions: - Due to any potential damage done to one’s self as well as others, by terrorizing, killing or even as an act of wastefulness, shooting fire guns is prohibited.

- Women may utter cries of joy, or ululations as long as men are not around.

- The bride may beautify herself and she can dress up for her husband, whether at home are at beauty saloons, but certain restrictions must be observed.

- The study has recommended the following: - Leaving any custom that involved imitation of the disbelievers.

- Simplifying wedding habits.

- Leaving manners that entail wastefulness and dissipation
