Abstract EN

This study aimed at surveying the extent to which educational personnel (teachers, supervisors and school principals) are aware of their new roles effected by the new changes of the 21st century.

The sample of this study included (382) teachers, (274) supervisors and (351) school principals who were chosen randomly.

For the purpose of this study, data was collected using a questionnaire developed by the researcher based on theoretical literature and modern developments in the educational field.

The study included two dimensions : a general focus on the three aforementioned categories and another designed for the special task of each category.

The results of the study revealed moderate levels of the subjects awareness and implementation of their new roles especially teachers.

It also showed that the educational qualification has a positive effect on the awareness and the implementation of their roles by the educational staff.

This indicates that the higher the qualification, the more awareness and the better implementation of the role.

However, experience had no effect on this aspect.

Supervisors were found to be more aware of their roles than school principals whereas principals proved to be better performers of their roles than supervisors.

Based on the above mentioned results , the researcher suggests some related recommendations.
