Abstract EN

This paper studies the viewpoints of the students of the College of Information, Mass Communication & Humanities towards the training programs that they practice inside and outside the college.

This is done through a sample of students upon whom this study was applied.

A questionnaire was designed.

It tried to find answers about the students' views in the training process.

The following results are found: 80% of the students think that training is very important to the graduates.

This result reflects the students' feelings toward the need of training to the graduate.

57% think that training programs in the college are not enough.

The study shows that 67% of the students think that the equipment used in the college for training is good.

This shows their satisfaction towards the utility of this equipment.

The study shows that 65% of the students did not attend any training programs in the field of media outside the college.

The study also shows that 78% of the students think that the student gets a job after s/he practises training.

It also shows that 57% of the students ask for the availability of a training centre that trains students.

The results of the study indicate that training for the sake of training comes at the beginning of what the students are looking forward to (40%).

Then training of media skills comes next (35%).

The results also show that the great obstacles that students face during training is the lack of cooperation from the official institutions (27%), the shortage of equipment (26%), and finally the absence of special places for training (19%)
