Abstract EN

This study aimed at the delination of the spatial distribution pattern for the population agglomerations in Al Balqa governorate.

Also the delination of the Spatial mean centre in the governorate at two periods of time to uncover the direction of population and physical growth.

The descriptive approach was utilised as a technique in collecting the data and their analysis with the tools of the nearest neighbour and the spatial mean centre.

The study concluded (basing on the above mentioned techniques) that a scattered pattern of population agglomerations in Al-Balqa governorate is generalized.

The study uncovered from the spatial mean centre for the population agglomerations in the governorate that the population growth extended towards the southern west during the period 1979-2000.
