The beginning of Arab contact with philosophy was through the school of Alexandria.

Mecca connected with the major cities through trade .In spite of the importance of philosophical sciences, but the doubt was going around the philosophy, that came because of time synchronization with the translation of translated books of magic of turning cheap metals to precious, and the prohibition of the Islamic religion of magic.

and remained a personal interest in philosophy, not a general trend , until the establishment of the Abbasid state ,and the emergence of the translation movement.
