Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of commitment among the students in both basic and secondary schools in behavioral manifestations of attendance in the school of social, educational and administrative domains, from the viewpoints of teachers.

For this purpose a questioner prepared by the researcher consisted of (30) items which are distributed evenly over the manifestations of attendance behavior of the three social, educational, administrative domains, after confirmation of the validity and reliability, was applied on a sample of (296) teachers, results showed that the level of attendance behavior among students in basic and secondary stages was moderate in the three domains.

The results also showed that the five most common manifestations of attendance behavior among the students of basic and secondary stages as estimated by teachers were, according to their relative importance in the following order: not escape or ongoing absenteeism from school, and daily attendance to school, and attendance time quota laboratory, library, activity, sport, and showing positive attitudes towards colleagues and school, absence from examinations, while the five less common manifestations of attendance behavior among students as estimated by teachers were respectively the following: participation in the school radio, engaging in voluntary action on his own, not weaken asking questions about the educational material, work eagerly in sharing in various practical activity, and participation in the various technical committees in the school.

On the other hand, the results showed a statistically significant differences in the assessment of teachers to the level of attendance behavior of students in three areas due to educational stage variable and for the benefit of students in the basic stage, while the results showed no statistically significant differences in the assessment of teachers to the level of attendance behavior of the students due to six variable.
