سجلت و وصفت ثلاثة أنواع من الديدان الخيطية العائدة لفوق عائلتين هما Seuratoidea و Camallanoidea من أمعاء ثلاثة أنواع من الأسماك، شمال غرب الخليج العربي قرب خور العمية للفترة بين تموز 2004 حتى حزيران 2006.
Cucullanus armatus Yamaguti, 1954 من الجري العملاق Netuma thalassina، الدودة الخيطية Cucullanus sp.
من سمكة الشعري Lethrinus nebulosus و الطور اليرقي الرابع للدودة الخيطية Camallanus sp.
من لسان الثور الأملسCynoglossus arel.
جميع الطفيليات المسجلة في الدراسة الحالية توصف و تسجل لأول مرة في العراق.
الطفيلي الأخير يعد تسجيله الثاني عالميا كطور يرقي رابع للجنس Camallanus في الأسماك البحرية.
Abstract EN
Three species of nematodes belong to the superfamilies, Seuratoidea and Camallanoidea were recorded and described from the intestines of three marine fishes from north west of Arabian Gulf near Khor Al-Ummia during the period from July 2004 until June 2006.
Cucullanus armatus Yamaguti, 1954 (Cucullanidae : Seuratoidea) from giant sea catfish Netuma thalassina ; Cucullanus sp.
from Spangled emperor Lethrinus nebulosus and Camallanus sp.
4th larval stage (Camallanidae : Camallanoidea) from large scale tongue sole Cynoglossus arel.
All these parasites were recorded and described for the first time in Iraq.
The latter parasite was the second species in the world as fourth larval stage.
