ضوابط نقد الرواة و أثرها في الحكم على الناقد

Abstract EN

This research discusses one of the controversial issues of Jarh & Ta‘dīl, that being judging the Kmams of Jarh & Ta‘dīl as mild, moderate or hardliners in the judgments they themselves had made against those who narrated the sayings of the prophet (Ruwah). However; exaggeration in this issue can lead to erroneous mistakes in accepting or rejecting the rulings the Imams of Jarh & Ta‘dīl.

A consequence of this may be to issue bizarre judgments in accepting or rejecting Prophetical sayings (Ahadith) brought forward by some Ruwah despite the fact that those Ahadith might be listed in any one of the Sahih’s. The researcher has found that there were no accurate measures, agreed upon by most scholars, by which an lmam can be fairly categorized into mild or hardliner or moderate in his judgments on the Ruwah. Thus, this research is an attempt at defining the limits of tolerance, moderateness and orthodoxy injudgments through concluding a number of regulating procedures that could assist in solving this issue.

These procedures might at first look simple and straightforward, but upon implementation they require patience and sufficient contemplation on part of any researcher and an accurate undrstanding for the sayings of those Imams because they were prominent scholars and each had his own methodology anc his own opinions that were based on solid scientific bases
