Abstract EN

This study aimed at investigation of the effect of using computer at social studies students’ achievement in civic education course and their attitudes toward this course.

The sample of the study consisted of (84) civic education course students who were clusterly chosen from the population of the study.

To achieve the aim of this study the researchers developed an attitude questionnaire which consisted of (21) items and an achievement test for the same course after setting up their validity and reliability significances.

To answer the questions of the study one way manova was used.

The analysis ofthe data showed the following results: 1- There were no singnificance differences in students’ achievement in the course of civic education between the experimental group who used the computer and the control group who used the traditional method of teaching.

2- There was a positive signit^ant difference in the students’ attitudes toward the course of civic education in toefevoro^eex^rimental group who employed the computer.
