Abstract EN
A total of 600 fishes of six marine fish species were randomly collected from Red Sea, Suez province, Egypt.
The fish species were Siganus rivulatus, Mulloides flavolineatus, Antherinidae, Pagellus acarne, Saurida undosquamis, and Lutjanus sp.
After parasitological examination, fishes were classified into infected and non infected then sacrificed to measure pb, Cu, Cd, Zn, Fe, and Mn heavy metals in different organs (gills, liver, musculalture and nematodes) ; Pb concentration was the highest level in gills (0.311 μg / g ) of Saurida undosquamis (non infected) and the lowest level in musculature of Mulloides flavolineatus (infected) (0.02 μg / g).
The highest level of Cu (19.256μg / g) in gills of Saurida undosqumis and the lowest level in musculature of Anthrinae sp (1.153 μg / g).
Gills of Lutjanus sp showed highest level of Cd (0.199) μg / g while musculature of Saurida undosquamis showed lowest level (0.033 μg / g).
Zn had highest level in gills of Lutjanus sp (45.23 μg / g) while musculature of Saurida undosquamis had lowest level (5.353 μg/g).
Iron showed highest level in gills of Mulloides flavolineatus (32.79 μg / g) and the lowest level in musculature of Siganus rivulatus (1.86 μg / g).
Mn showed highest level in gills of Lutjanus sp (879.2μg / g).
and the lowest level in musculature of Anthrinae sp (16.0μg / g).
Generally, all examined infected fish species with such adult nematodes recorded low levels of selected metals than non infected fish species.
