تمت دراسة تأثير العكبر في فعالية أنزيم الادينوسين امينيز (ADA; EC 3.54.4) في الفئران البيض.
استعملت جرعتين فموية من مستخلص العكبر العراقي (10 و 20 ملغم / كغم / يوم) فضلا عن مجموعتي السيطرة.
أدت المعاملة بمستخلص العكبر إلى حدوث زيادة في الفعالية النوعية لأنزيم الادينوسين امينيز في كل من مصل الدم و التوتة و الطحال عند مقارنتها بمجموعتي السيطرة إذ أظهرت النتائج أن الجرغة العالية من المستخلص كانت أكثر تأثيرا في فعالية الأنزيم, بينما أظهرت المعاملة بالمايتومايسين (سيطرة موجبة) عند نفس الظروف المستعملة إلى حدوث تثبيط عالي و معنوي في الفعالية النوعية لأنزيم الادينوسين امينيز في كل من مصل الدم و التوتة و الطحال عند مقارنتها بمجموعة السيطرة السالبة.
تشير هذه الدراسة إلى أن مستخلص العكبر العراقي ربما نشط الجهاز المناعي إلى جانب التعديل في تكوين الادينوسين من خلال زيادة الفعالية النوعية لأنزيم الادينوسين امينيز في كل من الطحال و التوتة.
Abstract EN
The action of propolis in the specific activity of adenosine deaminase (ADA ; EC3.5, 4.4) in albino mice was investigated.
Two oral administrations (10 and 20 mg / kg / day) of Iraqi propolis extract with two control groups were used.
Treatment with propolis enhanced the specific activity of ADA enzyme in serum, thymus and spleen as compared to control groups ; the stimulation was greater at the higher dose.
While, treatment with Mitomycin C ; MMC (positive control) under similar condition caused a highly significant inhibition in activity of ADA in serum, thymus and spleen as compared to negative control.
This study indicates that Iraqi propolis extract may potentiate immunity with the modulation of adenosinergic system through increasing splenic and thymic ADA enzyme activity.
