Abstract EN

here is no doubt that civilization and urbanization are important subjects in urban sociology and specialists care for this field specially in Iraq due to its economical revived and its reflection upon the different field in general and Kurdistan region specially.

The study consists of two chapters.

The first one includes two topics which in the first, the significant of the study, the aim, the problem, and the nature of the study exist.

In the second topic, the researcher defines the concepts which regarded as urban’s signs, the city, civilization and urbanization.

In chapter two, the researcher studies the city in the aspect of sociology in the first section and the second one study the urban signs of Kalar city which is the sign of urbanization, social, economical, political, education and administrative sign.

Finally, the researcher has got some conclusions.
