Abstract EN

The Iraqi Air Force is considered as an important ring in the history of Iraqi Arm force for its active mobilizing role.

The study has reached the following conclusions: 1.The formation of the Iraqi Air Force had greatly taken into consideration the interest of the successive Iraqi governments since 1921,the date of the formation of the Iraqi Army, the request of its formation which occupied an important part in the programmes of the successive Iraqi cabinets.

2.Britain had procrastinated the Iraqi efforts to build the new army to keep it depending on the British air force.

3.After the coup of 1936, the Iraqi government started to verify the sourses of air force weapons specially imported from the European countries such as Italy-Germany.

4.Since its foundation in 1937,the Iraqi Air force found itself obliged it to help the Iraqi police force and the Iraqi Army in their efforts to keep discipline and to impose law authority in the aftermath of the incidents and the turmoils specrally the tribal movements in the northern parts as well as the southern and the middle parts of the Euphrates.
