This paper deals with the impact of weather and agriculture in the Emirate of East Jordan on the economic life during the period 1929-1939, in terms of unstable rainfall and its impact on agricultural employment and rising food prices.
This paper, also , discusses the suffering of Jordanian farmers due to the successive drought years during the period of study.
In addition to that, there was the appearance of agricultural pests like locusts which caused great damage to agriculturc.Thc study also talks about the government atti- tude in handling the problem to alleviate the economic crisis which affected the farmers during that pcriod.Thc study depended on the reports of the league of the united nations during that period.
