Abstract EN

This study aims to investigate the levels of work pres-sures and career performance, as well as the nature of the rela-tionship between work pressures of the staff and career per-formance in the Yemen Gas Company (YGC).

In addition, it aims to detect the existence of statistically significant differ-ences in the responses of the study sample on work pressures and career performance in accordance with the personal and career variables.

The study population has consisted of all staff of the Yemen Gas Company (YGC), which amounted to (245) males and females of staff.

The study sample, however, was selected by comprehensive survey.

It also depended on the descriptive and analytical method and all its date have been collected by a questionnaire designed and developed to measure the objec-tives of the study and test its hypotheses.

Thus, the study con-sisted of three parts.

The first part included personal and ca-reer data, and the second one consisted of dimensions of work pressures, while the third part consisted of the dimensions of career performance.

The data of this study have been analyzed by using "SPSS" program in addition to descriptive and analytical methods to describe the data of the study, as well as the inferential and statistical method to measure the objectives of the study and test its hypotheses.

Therefore, the study has reached to a set of findings.

The most important of these find-ings is that there is no correlation between work pressures and career performance in the company in addition to the lack of statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample in accordance with the personal and career vari-ables, except job dimension according to the variable of gen-der and job title and the two dimensions of staff team, as well as the performance quality in accordance with the variable of academic qualification.

Finally, the study presented several recommendations based on the findings reached to.
