The study is aimed at investigating the bases of selecting the Holy Quran verses to the Islamic education curricula and its textbooks, in the view oflinam Ghazali presentation to the Holy Quran verses, according to its purposes in his book Jawaher El- Quran, by attempting to answer the questions posed.

The first question: what are the bases which Imam Ghazali's followed in his presentation to the Holy Quran verses according to its purposes in his book JawaJier El -Quran? To answer this question, the researcher employed the content analysis technique.

The aim was to arrive at the criteria of selecting the verses of the Holy Quran as viewed by Imam Ghazali's.

The analysis of the book Jawaher El- Quran revealed that Imam Ghazali's method consists of five components.

There were eleven bases for selecting the verses of the Holy Quran as related to the purposes which Ghazali's suggested.

The researcher restated these bases educationally in a procedural form.

The second question was: what is the attitude of recent educational theories to the researcher conclusions for the bases of selecting the Holy Quran verses in view of Imam Ghazali’s presentation to the verses according to its purposes in his book Jawaher El-Quran? In trying to answer this question, the researcher presented the bases for selecting the verses of the Holy Quran which recent educational studies had revealed, in order to explore the attitude of recent educational theories to the researcher conclusions.

The study has revealed pioneership and initiation in the work of Imam Ghazali’s regarding this filed, even almost surpassed them.

The study has also shown that the bases of Imam Ghazali’s are more comprehensive than the bases revealed by the other studies, which confirms the value and significance of the Islamic educational effort and impact on various spheres.

The study conduds with some recommendations and suggestions in view of the results, that the researcher arrived at.
