Abstract EN

This research surveys the various opinions of Islamic Jurisprudents concerning the abrogation of a debt when an indebted person suffers from financial difficulties.

It is found that by considering this abrogation to be a form of Zacat is a favored opinion that serves the purposes of our Sharia’a in releasing the indebted person of his commitments and the creditor of Allah’s rights.

These purposes are served if the indebted person deserves Zacat.
