Abstract EN

The current study aimed to achieve two objectives: The first, focused on measuring the inventive thinking level and its components (fluency, flexibility, and originality), where the second objective stressed the investigation of the effect of the socio-economic and educational (SEE) level of the students on their ability of invention.

To measure the inventive thinking, Abraham's test has been used after estimating its validity indices.

In addition, aquestionnaire for identifying the (SEE) level has been secondarily ^implemented after being developed and reviewed properly.

Nine hundred students were randomly selected from a population of Mzar, and Qasr Directorates of education Al-kerak.

A Two-way MANOVA and Simple Linear Regression Technique were the only statistical methods that have been used in this study.

The results of the study indicated that the 1st secondary students from scientific stream performed better on the test of invention than their colleges in the literal branch.

There were no statistical differences on the performance on the components of flexibility and there was a statistical significant .On the other hand originality due to student gender, effect of the SEE of the students on their level of inventive thinking and its components, selection, funding, monitoring and evaluation
