Abstract EN

"The problem of the respectivity (al-talaqqy) as seen by Hazim Al-Qartajanni in his book Minhaj Al-bulagha" This study is concerned with the problem of respectivity as Hazim Al-Qartajanni deals with it in his book Minhaj Al-bulagha (-684H/1285A.D).

By focussing on the receiver as the basic core of the process of creativity Al-Qartajani had been recognised among old Arab critics.

Al-Qartajanni had connected imitation (al-Muhakah) and several stylistic elements with the literary text.

This was to influence the receiver who, essentially is the heart of the process of creativity as well as his basic goal.

In order to achieve this, the present study is divided in to three parts : -The creative process and respectivity.

-Imitiation and respectivity.

-Style and the receiver.
