Reactivity ratios rNAp =0.218 and rMMA ” for the copolymerization of N- acryloyl pyrrolidin (HAP) with methyl methacrylate (MMA) have been determined.
The rate of homopolymerization (R) of the two monomers measured at60°C at fixed initial con¬centrations of the initiator and the monomer followed the order R(NAP)>R(MMA).
The observed rates of copolymerization at different feed compositions were in reason¬able agreement with the rates of copolymerization calculated by assigning a value of 14 for the cjxpss-termittatkm factory
