The field of Islamic education has lastly the attention of some educationalists.
There are now a lot of arguments among them concerning the methods of research which they have to follow in studying this field: Islamic Education.
This study aims to examine the methods of educational research which the Muslim scholars themselves had followed.
The study assumes that this can help in developing a new methods of studying Islamic education.
For that, examples of 'Ibn Sahnun (256 A.H.), ’Ibn Maskwlh (421 A.H.), 'Al-Ghazali (505 A.H.), 'Ibn Khaldun (808 A.H.) were studied.
