Thecurrentresearch addressesthe roleofthe residential neighborhoodspace inside the old Casbah in building the child's personality, where we were planning for the most important criteria that must be provided to setup the residential neighborhood in order to help the emergence of the correct values, which represent the basis for the proper grown of the child.

Hence the current research included 65 children of both sexes between the ages of 6-9 years, in addition to a sample of mothers which were estimated at 65 housewives.

They were selected inasimplerandom manner,from 07 different provinces.

We applied the technique of observation and interview in addition to a video camera as a tool for data collection. The results of the current research found that the outer space of the Casbah does not allow the development of the child's personality as a result of the absence of the necessary space for exercising popular games, and that the type of these practiced popular games among Casbah children is determined by the type of the outer residential space.
