Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to investigate using the Internet by public secondary school teachers in Jaresh Governorate and the students’ attitudes toward it.

The sample of the study consisted of (120) public secondary teachers as well as (300) secondary students from Jerash Governorate and the random stratified sample procedure was used.

To achieve the goal of the study, the descriptive analysis model was used.

The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were checked.

The results of the study showed that the using of the Internet by public school teachers was moderate.

The results also indicated that there were statistically significant differences in using the Internet by public school teachers according to gender and specialization variables in favor of female and English teachers, respectively.

On the other hand, the results indicated that the attitudes of students toward internet were moderate.

Moreover, the results showed there were statistically significant differences in the attitude of students toward their teachers’ using the Internet in term of the stream of study variable, in favor of scientific stream.

The study recommended the necessity to integrate the Internet in the teaching and learning process.
