Abstract EN

The research aims to psychological skills measure and its relationship to the dimensions of sporting excellence for players athletics, through the application on the research sample of (54) Player of the elected universities (Sulaymaniyah, Baghdad, Kirkuk, conductor, dialysate, Mstansria, Ckramaan, Halabja, Wasit) athletics posts in Iraqi universities Championship season (2013-2014) which was held on the courts Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Halabja in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and of society's total (54) for the player.

I have been using the descriptive approach through the use of each of the measurements of the dimensions of psychological skills and sporting excellence as tools for research, researchers used a number of statistical methods for processing the results obtained, such as the arithmetic mean and standard deviation simple correlation coefficient (Pearson).

After the presentation and discussion of results, the researchers reached a number of conclusions .adm the presence of correlation between the dimensions of psychological skills standards and the dimensions of sporting excellence except between dimensions (the ability to focus Alantbah- achievement motivation Sports) Mental Skills (orientation Nhawwalahsas responsibility) to scale sporting excellence was closely morally.

In light of these findings, the researchers reached a number of recommendations, including construction work on psychological development programs (psychological skills) and (dimensions Sports Excellence) teams with players Iraqi universities.

We must reduce the lack of attention to the psychological aspects, but must take into account that develops training methodology and rely on modern technological and post players in many tournaments in order to increase their susceptibility good mental aspects.
