English Abstract

The Nucleon Momentum Distributions (NMD) and elastic electron scattering form factors F(q) of the ground state from some odd mass nuclei in the sd-shell ( 31P, 35Cl, 37Cl, and 39K) have been calculated in the framework of the Coherent Density Fluctuation Model (CDFM) and expressed in terms of the weight function 2)(xf.

The weight function has been expressed in terms of the Nucleon Density Distributions (NDD) of the nuclei.

The NDD are determined firstly from theoretical consideration calculated by means of the harmonic-oscillator wave functions on the assumption that the occupation numbers of the states in real nuclei differ from the predictions of the simple shell model and secondly the NDD determined from the experiments.

The feature of the long-tail behavior at high momentum region of the NMD has been obtained by both the theoretical and experimental weight functions on contrary to the results of the NMD calculated in the shell model by taking Fourier transform to the harmonic-oscillator wave functions that are mainly characterized by the steep slope behavior at high momentum values.

The results of the elastic form factors calculated in the coherent density fluctuation model showed good agreement with experimental data.

This proves the reality of this model in calculating the nucleon momentum distributions and elastic form factors of nuclei under study.
