Abstract EN

The Wind erosion of soil effects a number of environmental influences, most important among which is the recurrence of dusty air phenomena which includes the suspended dust, rising dust and dust storms.

This paper aims at casting a shadow on the seasonal distribution of both the quantity of particles moved from the surface of soil in Wasit and the dusty air phenomena.Moreover,an attempt is made at defining the seasonal relationship to give an indicator of the source of these phenomena .

It has been made clear through the researching process that there is a concordance between the seasonal distribution of wind erosion of the soil in Wasit and the seasonal distribution of the recurrence of dusty air phenomena.

There is a direct proportion relationship between these variables amounting to0.85,and a contributive percentage of 72.2% .This points to the fact that most of the sources of these phenomena is from the soil of the province which is subject to wind erosion .
