Abstract EN

This study is one of a series that aimed to study corporate governance and its various effects in Kuwait stock exchange.

In this study we investigate the dividend policy and its relation to corporate governance.

Two elucidative theories of this relation have been examined based on the data of 700 observations collected from seven different sectors during 2008-2011, using a group of parametric and non-parametric tests.

The study got empirical evidence that supports the relation between corporate governance quality and dividend policy, and supports also the outcome hypothesis.

Such relationship is not affected by potential endogeneity and external financing constraints.
