Abstract EN

The majority of social work education still rely on traditional methods based on memorization of class content through lectures and discussions.

However, there are limited number of teachers who have tried using technology in the classrooms.

This study attempts to explore the effectiveness of the educational program based on the use of modern technological methods in the education of students of social work skills of the professional practice.

This is achieved through the application of a comprehensive training program for basic skills in the practice of social work with individuals and families to a sample of students at the seventh level in the Division of Social Work, at University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud in Riyadh.

The study results revealed that there was a significant difference between the experimental group and control group in the levels of understanding intervention skills, attributed to the use of technology in teaching these skills.

Evidence shows that students in the experimental group with little training became able to utilize technology and learn how to use it to facilitate their learning.

Accordingly, students found that the use of technology in the class room matches with the new advances in the use of technology in many aspects of life.
