TMs study aims to explore the realization of ^thematicai connectivity standard in 8th grade Maths Book, in Jordan, as recommended by NCTM (2000), as well as its actualization by teachers in classroom practice.

Two instruments were developeed: a model for analysis dericed from international mathematical standards; provided by NCTM (2000), as of mathematical connectivity standard, and a classroom observation checklist to detect its actualization.

Results indicated that the degree of realization in maths book, as well as its actualization in classroom practice was relatively low, in the three areas: the relationship between mathematical ideas, the connection of mathematical ideas to he an integrated and logically - connective whole, and applying maths in nonmaths contexts.

The study recommends proriding for raising educational awareness regarding both topics, and requesting teachers to develop their abilities regarding such task.

Further studies are needed for a wider and a deeper insight.
