Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is to use the Rasch Model to develop a Scale to measure students’ attitudes towards the assessment practices of university teachers.

Bahrain developed A preliminary version of the scale that consisted of 30-؛tem using 5-po؛nt Likert format and was administered to 340 randomly selected students enrolled at the University of Bahrain.

Results indicated the fit of 24 items to the assumptions of the rating scale model derived from one-parameter Rasch Model of modem measurement theory and thus the final version included 24 items with appropriate psychometric properties.

The Scale provides the maximum information to persons with neutral attitudes if the mean ability value is (© = 0.50) and the item difficulty value is (b = 0.54), similar to the expectancy values of the selected model of measurement.
