Abstract EN

The research aimed at verifying the psychometric properties of the big five personality factors inventory (neuroticism, extroversion, openness to expe- rience, agreeability and conscientiousness).

The study was conducted on a sample of (227) male and (371) female students from Gaza.

The five factors inventory designed by (Costa & McCrae, 1992) was trans- lated in to Arabic because it is the most reliable and valid and commonly used in verification.

The Inventory reveled an adequate degree of reliability and internal con- sistency.

The results related to factorial analysis indicated to find out five factor (con- scientiousness, narcissism, extroversion, agreeableness, and openness to ex- perience).

Moreover, the results showed some similarities and difference in the factorial structure of the inventory of female and male sample.
