Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the level of implementing computer technology by educational counselors in their work at governmental schools and the effect of some variables related to computer technology use.

To answer the questions of the study, (166) male and female educational counselors were selected from 7 governmental directorates belonging to Ministry of Education.

A computer technology usage in counseling scale was constructed and applied.

The results revealed that educational counselors had moderate level of implementing computer technology in their work and endorsed moderate attitudes toward it.

The results indicated that there were no significant differences in implementing computer technology due to counselor’s gender, school setting, number of students and courses in computer.

While the differences were statistically significant in their implementing of computer technology due to their scientific certification and years of experience in favor of those who have BA degree and those with an experience less than 5 years.
