Abstract EN

The university rankings are very important to the universities as they represent indicators for their positions between the world universities according to the standards of these rankings.

The world universities attempt to provide all the required requirements to accommodate with these systematic standards.

The present reality indicates the retreat of positions of the Arabian universities in these rankings and their drop out of the rankings despite of their development efforts.

So, the present study attempted to analyze the most famous world rankings and to identify the criticism directed to their methodologies, standards, indicators, the similarities, differences between them and the positions of the Arabian universities in the world rankings.

The study put a vision for benefiting the Arabian universities from the world rankings and revealed the principles of this vision and its procedures
