Abstract EN
The study examined the web cenferencing technology, and how to make use of it in the library and information fields in order to provide a digital referenoe service in academic libraries.
The study began with a definition of the web conferencing programs; the study examined 16 web conferencing programs to identify their characteristics.
The study finished by using Google Hangout program to provide a digital réference service in the Central Library - Mansoura IJniversity.
