Abstract EN

The study seeks to identify the trends of the leaders and managers of public libraries in the Greater Cairo area towards Ihe administrative leadership of all the associated pros and cons as a fiinction tagged for other activities office by identifying the demographic characteristics of the managers of this kind of libraries, as well as their attitudes towards leadership, leadership patterns, how they apply mechanisms, and the characteristics of management practices that are pursued, and the values that are keen to be in place, and professional benefits that are collected from attending training programs.

The study covers (23) public libraty located in (5) governorates: Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia, Helwan and 6 October (Greater Cairo area), the proportion of the libraries which responsed to answer checklist questions reached 63.89%.

The researcher conducted personal interviews with those who occupy positions of leadership in the surveyed libraries.

These positions included: director, deputy director, department heads, and their number totaled 34 respondents, the study based on field research methodology ط the first place, and for that, the researcher adopted a number of tools like: content analysis, checklist, and a personal interview.

the results divided into two main sections: a special section about demographic information (personal informa-tion), and include the gender, age, mari status, quahfied educational, subjec specialization administrative level, and service, while the Second Sec-0 years tion included Results which analyze the views and attitudes of the respondents through their answers to the questions included in the checklist, which includ-ed (15) questions.

The study concludes with some suggestions andrecommenda-tions that will improve the administrative libraries and information leadership institutions Arabic
