Abstract EN

This present research aims to detect correlation between the feeling of alienation and psychological security, as well as to detect differences between the average scores of undergraduate and graduate studies at the scale of psychological security and a measure of alienation among faculty members according to the following variables (nationality – level of education) among students of the Martyr Basil Al-Assad hostels in Damascus.

To achieve this goal the following tools were used: Questionnaire to measure the phenomenon of psychological security of the preparation of Fahad Abdullah Dulaimi et al, and a questionnaire to measure the psychological phenomenon of alienation by the researcher after reviewing the previous studies such as Samira Hassan et al.

The study sample consists of (370) male and female students from student university hostels.

This sample represent a rate of (3%) of the original research.

The most important findings of research are: - The presence of psychological alienation among students of the University is moderate.

- The are counterproductive negative significant statistical correlation between scores of the students on a scale of psychological security and the scale of psychological alienation.

- There are difference between the mean scores of graduate students on a scale of psychological security due to the variable level of education.

There are differences between the mean scores of students on a scale of psychological security in favor of the Syrian Nationality.

- There are differences between the mean scores of students on a scale of psychological alienation due to the students level in favor of B.A.

level.

- There are differences between the mean scores of students on a scale of psychological alienation due to Nationality variable in favor of Arab students.

The following suggestions were proposed: · Follow the methods of socialization to help the child grow properly away from all forms of tension and turmoil affecting the manifestations of an important stage on the stage of the growth of young people .

· Due to the presence of psychological alienation among students and other students who have no sense of psychological security, the researcher sees the need for lectures, seminars and holding meetings in order to achieve their psychological peace of mind......
