This study is based on monitoring the number of elements of coherence and cohesion in a poetic text created by the Arab poet Ahmed Abdilmu>ti Hijazi, dealing with the month of May and its contents of important events, based on the detection of coherence mechanisms including: Textual Referrals, deletion, legation and lexical cohesion, and mechanisms of cohesion of texts Including: the overall structure of the text, title, and the repetition and the total knowledge of the world and cessation and dispersal, etc., and the research was concluded summarizing the main results of the research.
