Abstract AR
Abstract EN
By tracking the history of poetic purposes, we find that it interacts with the social, economic and cultural developments.
And we will find in the texts of these purposes profound cultural implications that not only foretell these developments but also its causes and generators and relation to other aspects.
Examples of poetry purposes are satire and pride.
It is known that pride in poetry is said to honor the poet’s self or group and not to his opponents.
However, Satire in poetry is in contrast said to opponents and not to one’s self or group.
Therefore, it is odd to find self-satire poetry in the Abbasid age which contradicts pride!.
In this study I will track all what has been written within this purpose and its generators through connecting the context.
Especially the context of earning from poetry and the relation between the poets proposing pride and- as expected- with grantors and any development in such.
I also traced the implications of this phenomenon related to satire in terms of its effectiveness and the magamat (melodic modes) of receiving.
