Abstract EN

The science of (waqf) "pause" & (Ibtida’) is one of the very important sciences related to the Holy Qor`an.

Explanation of many verses varies according to the pause & start of the verse.

One of the most important aspects related to this is what relates to issues of belief, in particular the pillars of faith.

One verse may give different meanings which change according to changes in the pause & the start of the verse.

In some cases, variations in change of meanings depending on the change of pause & start are acceptable.

In some other cases change is not acceptable and it could be damaging.

Some of the Islamic factions exploited these changes to support their beliefs and ideas.

Therefore, the need for exploring the relationship between pause & start of a verse in relation to faith pillars is urgent to find out what is permitted and unpermitted of pause & start of verses.
