Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to reveal the actual role of Arabic and Islamic ideas theories of Urban Planning through the investigation in Islamic mother books, which tackle with the study and analysis of the Islamic cities .Its scheme is to display the reasons behind the choice of the site and situation of new cities, in addition to the building (erection) and the nature of its internal (inner) construction.

Fortunately, the study proved the correctness of its theory that the Islamic cities have unique features other than that of the Romans and Greeks these unique features are the result of the impact of the prophet (p.b.u.h) on Islamic city planning, when he re planned AL-medina AL-munawrah according to special foundation.

Finally, the study seems to succeed in its aim to prove that the Islamic cities were highly architectural, organized ones in accordance with religious, political, social and economical prototype central around the mosque the prominent feature all around the Islamic cities.
