Given the importance of the researches and scientific papers published In the Iraqi scientific journals, also the importance to make them all available worldwide through the internet, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced in the Science Annual Day celebration which was held on 15.04.2012 that a pilot project called (Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals Search Engine /IASJ) which is a repository of the digital versions of the mentioned journals is finished and now can be used through the internet via this link www.iasj.net This repository includes (256) Iraqi scientific journals covering more than (69061) researches published by (45) universities, research centers and scientific associations, all operating under the umbrella of this ministry. The final version of this repository launched on 28/07/2013, and new scientific journals will be added soon they published.

This research aims to introduce this repository, the goals behind it, and the future plans to develop it.
